Review, process, verify, and reconcile invoices, including both local and foreign payments.
Approve payment vouchers, vendor creations, and advance payment settlements.
Ensure timely and accurate employee final payments and IOU/advance settlements.
Maintain compliance with tax regulations and ensure all related invoices are obtained for VAT recognition.
Handle payment-related issues with stakeholders and provide updates to vendors, staff, and management.
Provide timely daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management, including ad hoc requirements.
Maintain organized records of all payments and invoices for archiving and audit purposes.
Analyze accounts payable processes to improve controls and efficiency.
Perform strong budgetary control for expenses and ensure compliance with company policies.
Ensure zero delays in payments, adherence to deadlines, and avoidance of penalties or delay charges.
Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, service providers, auditors, and tax authorities to ensure smooth payment operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Finalist or Passed Finalist of ICASL, CIMA, or ACCA; preferably a Diploma in Computer Studies.
Strong proficiency in computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel.
Expertise in accounting operations, process improvement, and internal controls for payment cycles.
Minimum 5–6 years of hands-on experience in the finance field, including 3 years in audit or the mercantile sector.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within finance or payments.
Execution and result orientation with a focus on achieving high standards despite challenges.
Strong teamwork, collaboration, and empathy in a team setting.
Effective influencing and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
